RAIPUR: The ‘Chief Minister Darpan’ website and mobile app created for monitoring Government of Chhattisgarh’s flagship programme ‘Suraji Gaon Scheme’ including other flagship schemes, has been awarded ‘Elites Excellence Awards-2020’ at the national level.
Under ‘Digital India initiative’ , the country’s prestigious IT institution Elites Technomedia, New Delhi has given the award to the state.
The official communication issued states that Union minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping Nitin Gadkari on July 10 has inaugurated the three-day virtual conference. Chhattisgarh was given an e-certificate on the occasion.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on June 10 had launched the Chief Minister Darpan website and mobile app prepared by Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS). The aim was to monitor the online monitoring of Suraji Gaon Yojana and other flagship schemes from the Chief Minister’s secretariat.
Subrat Sahoo, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology in a statement said, the website and mobile application received the award under the Government category for its innovation for monitoring important schemes of the State Government. He added that the three-day conference has been organized to encourage innovation in the Government IT sector in the country during the Covid-19 period by identifying the innovations made for civic convenience.
CHiPS Chief Executive Officer Sameer Vishnoi said the Darpan website and the real-time updating mobile app have been developed in-house at a very low cost. It can also be accessed by common citizens also apart from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He added the biggest feature is a step towards paperless and real time monitoring. Apart from the flagship scheme, ‘Talk to the Chief Minister’ feature on the website has been provided. They can also connect to the social media accounts of the Chief Minister.
