RAIPUR: CAIT Chhattisgarh Chapter has assured the consumers that no Chinese good will be available across the country on the shelves of the shopkeepers. Amidst coronavirus pandemic and face off with China, the festive season is starting across the country from August to November.
CAIT National Vice President Amar Parwani, State Working President Magelal Maloo State Working President Vikram Singh Deo in a joint statement issued said this year all festivals will be celebrated with zeal and gaiety reflecting great Indian culture. The sanctity of festivals will be maintained by using only Indian goods.
Joint statement states that last fiscal year during festival season Chinese goods worth Rs 20,000 crores were sold. The organization already spearheading a movement to boycott Chinese goods under its mission “Bhartiya Saamaan-Hamara Abhiman”. An elaborate strategy has been adopted to make the Indian goods available across country in substantial quantity.
Parwani in the statement said a message has been sent to all the Trade Associations in country, as forthcoming festival season beginning from Rakhi on August 3 and will continue up to November 25th. It is to be ensured that Indian goods related to each festival be made available in abundance throughout the country. The organization is preparing an exhaustive list of the items those are used in each festival.
He added that manufacturers, artisans, small scale industries, potters, women entrepreneurs, self-entrepreneurs, startups are being contacted. The deadline for collection of data regarding required production and approximate consumption of goods at respective states will be taken by July 15, 2020.
