RAIPUR: Health and family welfare, panchayat and rural development minister T. S. Singhdeo will dedicate the new modern D.R. system (X-ray machine) for the cancer patients on September 8 at 12.00 pm at Regional Cancer Centre, attached with Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur.
Regional Cancer Centre director and department head Dr Vivek Choudhary said the new Rs 1.5 crore worth D.R. System is high quality digital X-ray which will take lesser time as the image is seen on computer immediately.
The digital radiograph needs no imaging plate as it uses digital electronic sensor and digital capturing device against the traditional analog electronic-film, he added.
The other benefit is that processing speed is higher as digital image is obtained through the X-ray. Therefore, it does not need analog film, cassette, dark room and chemical process, thus eliminating all these processes. The image is captured and transmitted to view-station as digital image.
