Chhattisgarh: Ready-to-Eat distributed among targeted beneficiaries

RAIPUR

In continuation of the backup measures to provide relief to the beneficiaries during the period of lock out across the state in the wake of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) till March 31, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed to ensure distribution of ready-to-eat among the anganbadi children, pregnant and lactating mother.

Women and child department, government of Chhattisgarh is ensuring the distribution of the ready-to-eat materials through the anganbadi workers by distributing by reaching homes of each beneficiary.

Additional to it the manufacturing is being done through selected women self help groups to back-up the supply ensuring its quality. The state government has also provided adequate budget to ensure that nutritional support is given to the children aged 06 months to 6 years, pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls.
